Paul suggested that the use of the centre of the yorkshire rose was too busy and it was becoming to much of a distracting feature within the design. also using the 'gp' logo in the yorkshire rose was unesasery and didn't need to be there as generation press are based in brighton, however he liked the use of the rose and thought it would be best used with my logo to symbolize me as the 'northerner'. we also decided to use TRU- CARD for the flyers which is a stock with a gloss side and a matt side. we will use the gloss side for the front. it was also suggested that we use the Generation press green, as a duplex for the back. the back will be used for the information, such as the detail of our collaborations and other details. This a strictly exclusive event and paul and i both want to express this in the design.
Paul also pointed out that in my development, i have done something wrong, which was to adjust the 'gp' logo in some of my development work by extending the 'p' this is a type of move which can get you in trouble. i did this with out thinking and have learned for future preference. when i'am in development stages i tend to make subtle changes to the designs which i'am producing in methodical stages. However a subtle or slight adjustment to a logo can make a huge difference therefore standouts considerably. i have learned from this and it will allow me to be more aware of considerations when producing design work with logos. this works in the same princeable as if someone else adjusted my logo in a design it would cause offense and disruption.
